Classrooms in the Forest Tutor/Ranger

After gaining a PGCE I taught in Africa for 8 years as a class teacher and outdoor learning co-ordinator. More recently I visited Australia teaching English to migrant children whilst learning more about tropical rainforests and wetlands. When not teaching in the forest I enjoy my role as Information Officer for the Lake District Osprey Project  and helped set up Friends of Silver Meadows wetlands.  As well as conservation and the environment I am particularly interested in developing a sense of history, linking  Viking and Anglo-Saxon settlement.
